The S-TESTS Assessments were developed as a direct result of the increasing pressure upon school districts to prove their effectiveness at all levels. In partnership with our customers, we developed and tested the High School Practice Tests for grades 9 & 10 to assist the New Jersey school systems with practice materials in preparing students for the state testing.

S-TESTS developed the practice tests with the same rigor and attention to detail we've been known for since 1969. First, we planned the specifications. Then we created the test items and field tested them.

S-TESTS follows a rigorous process of assessment, development, field testing, revision, and post-exam evaluation prior to offering the tests on the market. We are committed to fairness and endorse the Code of Fair testing Practices in Education.

Test Development
We begin by examining state and national standards to determine content. Then we develop a statistical description of item characteristics indicating difficulty, and finally we perform a quality review of items to assure effective knowledge measurement.

Item Creation
S-TESTS' specialists bring years of experience in both teaching and scoring to the creation of items for our tests. Our content specialists carefully review the items for cultural and gender fairness before we adapt them to our test forms.

Field Testing
After our test specialists approve items for possible inclusion in our tests, we then field-test them on a representative population in order to verify their technical soundness and appropriate level of difficulty. We develop statistics from these results.

Test Forms
S-TESTS specialists create preliminary test forms from the approved items and then subject these forms to a series of reviews to confirm accuracy and effectiveness of test construction.

Commercial Surveys
S-TESTS has the ability to capture important information from your multiple-choice survey. This may take the form of scanning a pencil bubble, check box or a bar code. We will provide reports to you in a numerical format, or a graph format, or both. Please contact us with your survey needs.
